For the sixth consecutive year, Cummins earned a top score of 100 on the Disability Index® and was recognized by Disability:IN as a World's Top Disability Inclusive Business®. The designation recognizes organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing disability inclusion and accessibility in the workplace. Cummins' continued recognition reflects years of intentional effort to remove barriers, create opportunities and foster an environment where employees with disabilities, caregivers, allies and advocates can thrive.
Cummins initiative expands effort to address racial inequities
Cummins has a long history of fighting for social justice. Launched in 2020, CARE: Cummins Advocating for Racial Equity furthers the company’s goal to power a more prosperous world. The strategic community program focuses on racial ) in the U.S. through a growing number of initiatives and programs. The commitment works to dismantle systemic racism in three focus areas: social justice reform, economic empowerment and criminal justice reform.
Cummins initiative strengthens communities by creating sustainable water supplies
More than 500,000 people have benefited from Cummins Water Works’ efforts to create more sustainable sources of water around the world to help address the global water crisis. Launched in 2021, this strategic community initiative partners with leading water experts to invest and engage in sustainable, large-scale, high-impact water projects. For example, a partnership with The Nature Conservancy is working to restore a three-mile oyster reef in Louisiana to naturally filter water in the Gulf region. The company’s $13 million effort is funding projects in 11 countries.

Cummins Powers Women is the company’s strategic community program addressing women’s equality. Since this 2019 video, the program has grown into a more than $20 million commitment with 10 global partners working in 18 countries. The video shows the program’s impact in India.

International Day of the Girl, observed annually on October 11, honors girls’ rights and achievements, while raising awareness to the gender inequalities and challenges they face around the world.

In recognition of the indisputable role that education plays in advancing global peace, sustainability and unity, since 2019, the United Nations has recognized January 24 as the International Day of Education.
