The RT-160 HE tandem drive axle family builds on the proven RT-160 design, now adding MLMS technology on the forward and rear carriers and a lighter, optimized rear‑rear carrier to deliver efficiency gains and weight savings while maintaining the same trusted durability.

Meritor Lube Management System (MLMS) in both forward and rear carriers, using the axle’s own rotation to manage lubricant distribution, saving total lubricant capacity by 5.1 liters
Optimized rear-rear carrier design with an integrated bearing cage, delivering a 35 lb weight reduction versus the predecessor without compromising industry-leading durability
Available in 40k and 46k GAWR, suitable for on-highway applications up to 185,000 GCW
Axle ratios ranging from 3.07 to 4.89 to support a broad range of linehaul needs
